My wife and I had been receiving letters from the IRS claiming we owed over $50K in back taxes from the sale of a property.  Affordable Tax Resolutions took a look at paperwork and determined that we didn’t declare a high enough basis.  We filed an amended tax return for that year.  In no time our tax debt was eliminated.  Thank you for your help! Frequently Asked Questions

Does Your Company Guarantee Your Results?
Just like any attorney could never guarantee the results of a particular court case, we cannot guarantee the outcome of your tax resolution case with the IRS.  Additionally, any tax resolution firm that tells you that they can guarantee the outcome is not being truthful.  However, we work with advanced software similar to what the IRS uses to negotiate cases.  If you give us accurate data for your case we should have a very close estimate to the outcome of your case.
I'm Low on Cash, Does Your Company Allow For Me to Make Payments?
Yes, of course.  We understand your situation with the IRS can be filled with anxiety and stress.  If you were rolling in cash you would just pay them and put it behind you but that’s not the case.  We will work with you to accept monthly payments that are affordable as we are representing you in front of the IRS.
I've Had My Offer In Compromise Declined, Is there Something Else I can do?
Just because you were declined in the past doesn’t mean you can’t get your debt resolved with a more favorable outcome than what you currently have.  Situations change.  Your income and assets may have changed.  You may have filled out the paperwork incorrectly which caused the Offer In Compromise to be declined.  Speak to an experienced tax resolution professional today and get a 2nd opinion.
How Long Does it Take to Get My IRS Debt Resolved?
Great Question!  Each case is unique in its own way.  Here’s a couple things to consider.  1.  The Discovery step takes about 2-3 days and is mandatory for all clients.  2.  If you need to file back taxes in the compliance step it usually takes us about 1 month to complete and file them on your behalf.  3.  the Resolution step takes a little longer.  We will work with you to prepare all the proper IRS forms in full, accurately so that we don’t have to continually go back and forth.  Once we mail everything to the IRS it takes them between 4 and 6 months to analyze and review and which point we will negotiate a final settlement.  If you agree to the terms the paperwork will be signed and resolved.
What Happens After My Case is Resolved?
In order to remain in compliance with the IRS you will need to pay as agreed in the resolution agreement.  Secondly, as a part of your resolution, you are required to file your taxes on time for at least the next 3 years.  Failure to comply with these terms could nullify your settlement and you would owe for the full amount plus any penalties and interest.
